Swifts marching on.

100% record intact.
Today saw us travel to Warout for our league game v Lomond.
With both teams unbeaten in the league Youth Football Scotland came along to video the game.
From the start you could see both teams were trying get the ball down and play good football.
We took the game to Lomond in the 1st half, some excellent football was on display for the cameras with the boys putting together some great passages of play.
We got the opening goal after some good work between Ru and Matt, Ru crossed low and hard and with Blane in close attendance the defender had to try to clear but was unfortunate to put it past his keeper.
The 2nd goal was another good move, Lewis and Rohan combined and Rohan's cross was met beautifully by Ru who volleyed it into the bottom corner.
We continued to press for the 3rd goal and some fine saves from the keeper kept the score at half time 2-0.
Into the 2nd half and we now had the wind behind us, unfortunately the boys just couldn't reproduce the 1st half performance.
Lomond were looking brighter than us as the boys performance dipped and they got a penalty the 68th minute.
Looked a bit soft from the sidelines but Finlay pulled off a great save to deny Lomond.
Lomond eventually to the goal their play deserved 6 minutes later, we switched off in the middle and this allowed them to play a through pass that was finished well.
We eventually got going again and hit back 5 minutes later to kill off the game.
A corner from Ru was floated top the back post and Blane headed home unchallenged from close in.
A very well contested game with some great football from both sides.
Thought the lads were back to their best in the 1st half and dug in deep to get the result they deserved.
