The Swifts eagerly awaited this game on the back of the Kinrossie ‘wet hair‘ banter when the game was postponed in March due to rain. It was clear from the start that Jeanfield wanted goals.
Jeanfield came out of the blocks flying and it took only 10 minutes to open the scoring. Wide man Sime floated in a delightful cross which found the head of Phillips who rose above the defender to header home GOAL 1-0 Jeanfield
Jeanfield then dominated for another 20 minutes with shot after shot not quite hitting the target until midfield dynamo T.Young stepped in. A quick throw on the 32nd minute from Sime found its way to T.Young in front of goal and his shot was never going to be saved GOAL 2-0 Jeanfield
39th minute Jeanfield’s top scorer wanted in on the action. T.Young put in an inch perfect cross which found Coull. The striker headed towards the target but the keeper managed to parry it. Unfortunately for him right into the feet of the little wizard Grieve who popped it home GOAL 3-0 Jeanfield
Kinrossie took centre, lost the ball and Jeanfield punished them with some great football between Grieve, McCabe and finally Coull who calmly beat the keeper GOAL 4-0 Jeanfield
It was clear Jeanfield wanted 5 by half time as 3 more chances went begging including one from McCabe yards out with a free goal but put it wide. In 1 minute of injury time McCabe making up for his miss ran deep into the box and cut a brilliant cross into Coull who smashed it home on the volley G0AL 5-0 Jeanfield
Halftime
Jeanfield 5
Kinrossie 0
The half time team talk was easy, keep going and let’s get goals. The players responded. Kinrossie hardly touched the ball in the first half Swift keeper Morrow didn’t have to make a save.
Jeanfield opened the halves scoring up on the 51st minute when Coull hit the touchline and played a fantastic cutback into the feet of Grieve who scored his second of the game GOAL 6-0 Jeanfield
Management had seen enough and with one eye on the Dunkeld game made 4 substitutions. One being on form McCleary. Within 4 minutes of being in the pitch the youngster McCleary scored his first. This time Grieve drove to the touchline and his cut back found McCleary who fired home into an empty net GOAL 7-0 Jeanfield
McCleary knows he needs goals to catch top scorer Grieve and he had a determined look in his eye. On the 68th minute it was almost a carbon copy of the last goal with Grieve driving to the touchline and McCleary tapping in GOAL 8-0 Jeanfield
Substitute McDonald made a run to the back post from deep on the 73rd minute which Mathison spotted early. Hit cross was perfect and all McDonald had to do was leap to Score. McDonald went up like a salmon and headed it home GOAL 9-0 Jeanfield
McCleary wanted his hat trick and the ball just landed at his feet in front of goal on the 78th minute after 2 deflected shots inside the box. There was no way he was missing from 6 yards out GOAL 10-0 Jeanfield
On the 81st McCleary finished the game with his 4th. Peletier made a great run from deep to the edge of the box, dummied a shot and slipped in the youngster McCleary who calmly rounded the keeper and put it away with his left foot GOAL 11-0 Jeanfield

Kinrossie continued to work hard right to the end with lots of running which was great to see but the popstars were just too strong for them.
