With 7 games already played in April jeanfield decided to change things up with 5 first team players dropping to the bench.
The game started off slow with Jeanfield not bothering the Pitfour keeper. Pitfour had a three or four good chances to take the lead but just couldn’t beat the Swifts Keeper. Jeanfield on the 30th minute opened the scoring through a well hit penalty. Top Scorer Grieve wasn’t going to miss from 12 yards and smashed it into the bottom left corner GOAL 1–0
9 minutes later Pitfour gave away another penalty. Confident Grieve stepped up and hit an identical penalty into the bottom left corner GOAL 2-0 Jeanfield
Jeanfield couldn’t really get started in the first half until he 40th minute when then football started flowing. Minutes before the whistle Phillips took a quick throw in down the left into Mathieson who drove into the box. He threw a dummy shot which tricked 2 Pitfour defenders and put him at the byline. Mathieson had limited options and everyone thought he was going to play it across the face of goal but the experienced wingback went for goal instead. With odds against him he smashed it passed a helpless keeper GOAL 3-0 Jeanfield
