NEW PLAYERS ARRIVE FOR THE NEW SEASON

Swifts manager Ross Gunnion has been a busy man over the break with 5 new players signing on at Riverside Stadium for the new season in the Super League.

Fraser Mills returns to the Riverside for a 2nd spell from Scone Thistle. In his last spell with the club Millsy is remembered for scoring the winning goal in the ACA Sports League Cup victory over Kelty Hearts as Swifts clinched the "Double Double".

Joining Fraser in moving from Scone is attacking midfielder Gary Fergus The small but talented player joins the club after impressing in his time with the "jaggie nettles" He joins the list over brothers who have played for Swifts in recent years as his older sibling Sean played for us from 2007 until 2010.

2 players have been signed from city rivals Kinnoull and both were former Jeanfield Swifts youth players.

Rhys Davies has been a top scorer for the Tulloch Park based club for the past couple of seasons and is ready to start putting that scoring touch to good use in the top division. Tall and quick with an eye for goal it is hoped that Rhys will continue his form in the black & white of Swifts.

Lewis Mackie is a neat and tidy midfield player with excellent delivery from set pieces and a good passer of the ball. He like Fergus has had an older brother, Gavin now of Kirkintilloch Rob Roy, play for Swifts duringa trophy laden period of 2011 until 2014.

Finally our last signing so far of the summer is Benn Blyth. The centre half was part of the all conquering Letham AFC team who won all before them locally last season and whose only defeat came in the latter stages of the Scottish Cup. He was chased by several local sides but made the choice to come to Riverside and further his career.

I would like to welcome all to the club and hope that they can help the club progress once again next season.
