It was back to league duty this week with a home match against title contenders Letham Tangerines. This would have have been a tough test regardless but with suspension and unavailable players today our task was made even tougher. We got off to a bad start with Tangies scoring a couple of very early goals in the first few minutes. Credit to the boys though that whilst under a lot of pressure they kept things tighter after that and had a glorious chance to pull one back when a close range shot was plucked out of the air by the Tangies GK. We had a couple of long range shots as well which were well saved. Disappointingly as the game approached half time the Tangies stretched their lead considerably with 3 quick fire goals and whilst they deserved the lead the boys certainly didn't deserve the scoreline.

Second half started as the first with a quick goal from the Tangies and with another couple the game was out of sight for them it was more of a matter for the boys to keep their heads up and continue to play. The Tangies scored a couple towards the end to complete a disappointing day for the boys

This was our heaviest defeat of the season and the boys will naturally feel a wee bit deflated but again, particularly first half, there was good play and endeavour on show and we can't be too downhearted. There is still plenty to play for as the season nears completion and with an available full squad we can look upwards.
