St Johnstone WFC announce Short Sponsorship

St Johnstone Women’s Football Club have announced Aberdein Considine as their new Short Sponsors for 2018.

Local law firm Aberdein Considine have agreed a new deal with St Johnstone WFC which will see the logo displayed on both Home and Away kits.

The funding will help the team meet SWPL Criteria required to compete at this Elite level, and build on existing fund raising efforts.

St Johnstone WFC was formed from the original Jeanfield Swifts ladies team in February of this year. The team plays in the Scottish Womens Premier League with home games taking place at McDiarmid Astro on Sundays at 4pm. The side is presently sitting in 4th with wins already this season over Hearts, Aberdeen (twice) and Kilmarnock.

Aberdein Considine partner in Perth Charlie Fraser, who is also a director with St Johnstone FC was integral to the new sponsorship deal along with St Johnstone WFC General Manager Steve Grossi.

Commenting on the sponsorship Steve said:”This is great news on so many levels. It means we have now sold all of our available kit placement packages for the season.

Charlie was our contact at St Johnstone FC when we first started discussing a new women’s team and he was hugely supportive. It’s great that we’ve managed to attract a sponsor like Aberdein Considine which will really help to develop our profile.

Charlie has also worked closely with us to introduce the firm’s legal access programme for the team and Jeanfield Swifts Girls, which will be a great benefit for everyone involved.”

Charlie Fraser added: ”We’re delighted to be supporting St Johnstone WFC and it’s great to know we’re playing a part in helping a local club which is an important part of the local community.

Steve and players have shown a huge amount of passion and determination to get the team off the ground and we’d like to wish them every success for the coming season.”
