When teams were asked to collect vouchers for the Courier Minibus Competition, nobody could have imagined the response

When the Courier announced its Minibus Competition in September, plans were put in place for Jeanfield Swifts Community Club to maximize its chances of collecting the keys to a much-needed facility for the entire club to use.

Coordinated by Andy McLeish, the vouchers started coming in thick and fast. An incredible 50 entries were submitted from the Girls and Ladies section alone, with another 6 from the Boys 2002 Blacks and an impressive 17 from the Boys 2002 Reds.

Special mentions should go to Sam in the 2002 Blacks, Kiara in the Girls U9s and Eve in the Girls U15s for their efforts, which kept Andy up late into the evening sorting the vouchers into bundles of 50 for submission to the Courier last Monday.

Of course, only one entry will win ultimately, but the whole effort has certainly galvanized the entire Community Club and it has been great to see everyone pursuing the same, single goal. Thank you to everyone who contributed.
