Swifts Welcome McFadyen

Jeanfield Swifts Ladies were delighted to capture the signing of Stacey McFadyen from Tayside Ladies this week.

Jason McCrindle was delighted with the new addition "I'm really pleased that Stacey has decided to join us. She has been a target that we identified last season and I was hoping she would have been here sooner but we are glad that she is finally here. I saw Stacey play two years ago for her previous club and even though she was only 16 she was the best player on the park. She is joining a talented, hard working group of players at Jeanfield and I'm sure she will fit right in and help us with the 2nd half of the season".

The young striker joins the Swifts after spending her whole playing career with the Dundee club. She has been capped at Youth Level and will add attacking options to the squad. Although sad to be leaving Tayside Stacey was positive about her new surroundings. "I was sad to leave Tayside as I have loads of friends there, and the club have been good to me over the years, and I will always appreciate that. However I think it was time for me to test myself at a higher level and this move gives me that. Jeanfield has great players, the atmosphere is really positive and I can't wait to get to get going and play in the 1st Division. The girls have had a great season so far and I'm looking forward to settling in and helping us have a good second half".

Manager Steve Grossi explained.."Adding Stacey to the group will give everyone a boost. She has maybe dropped her levels of performance recently but I know she is relishing the challenge of proving herself in the 1st. Like most of our players she has huge potential and I'm looking forward to seeing how she progresses working with Jason and the rest of the girls. She has already settled in really well. With a lot of hard work and some patience I think she can make a big contribution at Jeanfield, and I think the environment will suit her and challenge her. She is an exciting player and I wish her every success here in Perth. I'd also like to thank Gail and Duncan for getting the move concluded during the break".

Jeanfield Swifts Ladies compete in the SWFL 1st Division and are always looking to develop in all areas.
