Jeanfield Swifts AFC V Wolfhill match report

Bell haunts old team with first of the season
Jeanfield Swifts travelled to Guildtown to face Wolfhill in what was expected to be a difficult game.
The match started of really slow and it took 40 minutes before the first real chance was created from either team, it fell to Jeanfield’s prolific striker Sam Grieve who rolled the defender from a Henderson pass putting him through on goal. Sam coming in from the right rifled a brilliant shot from about 12 yards out into the top left corner only to be stopped by a great save.
Jeanfield then sprung into life with wave after wave of attack for the final minutes of the half and even managed to score but the referee deemed Booths goal to be offside.
The half time team talk did wonders as Jeanfield came out of the traps flying. On the 58th minute Jeanfield won the ball back deep in their own half, 2 passes later Sime was breaking free down the right through on goal and he slipped in a nice pass to Bell. There was still a bit of work to do to beat the on form keeper but Bell stayed composed and slotted the ball into the net Goal 1 v 0 Jeanfield. Bell looked about 18 again as he ran off into a celebratory cartwheel.
Only 2 minutes later a strange goal was conceded by Wolfhill. Jeanfield keeper Morrow cleared the ball from his box, Wolfhill headed back to their own keeper from the half way line however the keeper was closed down by Bell and panicked which then made him head the ball into his own goal from just outside his own box Goal 2 v 0 Jeanfield.
Jeanfield’s started to stamp their dominance on the game after this through great passing and creating more and more chances. Young found himself through on goal only to have his first shot saved by the keeper and unfortunately he snatched a the rebound which rocketed high and wide. Manager McCabe brought on McCleary on 63 minutes and it youngster only 3 minutes to net his second of the season. Grieve with some brilliant foot work on the edge of the box dummied a shot and slipped in McCleary who’s first shot 1on1 with the keeper was saved but it fell back to him and he managed to fire it home which his knee from about 7 yards out Goal 3 v 0 Jeanfield.
Jeanfield continue to press and the flood gates opened. Lucky for Wolfhill their keeper was on form as he saved chance after chance. After 76 minutes substitute Brown smashed home from a Grieve ball across the box which no keeper was saving Goal 4 v 0 Jeanfield.
Jeanfield just could not add to their lead however didn’t stop tying to the delight of Manger McCabe.
