First half goals from Robbie Holden, Daniel Kelly & Stevie McManus gave the home side a vital 3 points as the race for promotion to the Super League continued.
Holden reacted 1st after a Keith Dewar looped cross fooled the keeper & hit the bar before falling to the Swifts striker who took a touch before smashing into the net. Minutes later it was 2 when Ross Gunnion drove forward and found Kelly in space. the attacker turner and without any back lift curled the ball into the back of the net. Prior to half time Swifts were awarded a penalty after Holden was up ended in the box. McManus stepped up & smashed the ball into the net for a 3 goal half time lead.
Falkirk upped their game in the second period & were awarded 2 penalties in 2 minutes. Mark Mitchell brilliantly palmed away the 1st penalty but couldn't do much about the 2nd despite diving the right way. The visitors kept pushing but Mitchell was in top form and Swifts were working hard to cut out any opportunities that came the visitors way.
