Despite atrocious weather Swifts and Penicuik combined to put on an entertaining display at the Riverside.
Playing in their first ever game in the Superleague, newly promoted Jeanfield Swifts went down to the odd goal in five against Penicuik Athletic in the season opener.
After succumbing to two early goals from McCallum to trail 0-2 at half time, Swifts' first goal in the top division was scored by Kevyn Fowler.
McCallum then restored the two goal advantage for a couple of minutes before John Anderson headed home from just inside the box with his first touch after coming on as a substitute with ten minutes to go.
