Swifts exited the Scottish Cup with an under par performance against the North Super League side who deserved the victory.
A last minute goal sealed the win for the visitors who had to play over an hour with 10 men which Swifts failed to take advantage.
Daniel Kelly gave the home side the lead when he fired into the far corner but the travelling Aberdeen team fought back and after 2 disallowed goals, 1 of his wasnt, levelled just before half time with the first of 3 penalties that they were to be awarded.
Swifts went ahead once more when Scott Sutherland out paced the defence before rounding the keeper and stroking into the empty net.
The visitors then missed a penalty which hit the bar before scoring their 3rd and final spot kick minutes later.
With a replay looking likely a cross from the wing was headed into the net to send the players, coaching staff & supporters of Hermes home happy and Swifts knowing that they had let a great chance to progress in the competition go.
