A poor second half cost Swifts the chance of any points this afternoon at Riverside Stadium.
Without several regulars due to numerous reasons Swifts still hoped to take something from today's game but it wasn't to be.
They fell behind when we lost the ball in midfield ans it was slipped through to Stephen Scott who slotted the ball past Mitchell.
Richard Donovan equalised soon after when he latched on to a through ball from Rhys Davies and calmly lobbed the keeper for his first competitive Swifts goal.
In the second half Swifts never turned up and lost an early goal when a long diagonal cross was headed across the box and bundled in at the far post.
Newtongrange put the game out of sight later on when Anton was adjudged to have fouled the opposition forward in the box. The Nitten left back stepped up and fired the ball high into Mitchell's net.
A poor performance in the second half from Swifts with much more to be done in the next few games to get the results desired.
