Breadalbane vs Jeanfield Swifts

The boys started off the 2nd round of fixtures with our reverse match away to Breadalbane. Early exchanges were tight with not many chances. The home side took the lead on the 15min mark with a good shot from distance after the initial effort had hit the post and came back out. The boys pressed but as half time approached couldn't find a way past a good solid home side defence ?.

Second half was very attritional with not a lot of chances created by either side on the heavy pitch. The boys were creating pressure but could not quite convert into gilt-edged chances. There were a few efforts the boys had but the Bread defence held firm. A couple of late corners gave us some hope but unfortunately we could not make any of them count ⚽

The boys lacked the fluency they have had in previous weeks but it's a measure of where they have come from that they are gutted with a narrow away defeat against a good well organised team. Defensively we were excellent with the back four having a great match. ?

Man of the match was Ross who had a fine match playing in midfield and then later on at the back. Strong in the tackles and some fine runs. Well done Ross
