Bridge of Earn vs Jeanfield Swifts

The boys finally got back into league action with an away fixture out at Abernethy against Bridge of Earn. The early exchanges were pretty even with not many chances at either end. The boys took the lead around the 15 min mark when a cross wasn't cleared by the Brig defence and Matthew took advantage of this by slotting home. Brig though equalized not long after when a corner was volleyed in.⚽

The boys though were playing some nice football and took the lead when a superb cross ball by Fergus was converted by Aidan for his first competitive goal this season. ⚽

Second half and the boys really stepped it up playing some really good passing football and limiting Brig to a few half chances. As the boys pressed we looked to extend our lead and Aidan almost got his second only to be denied by a superb save by the Brig GK. We weren't to be denied though and went further ahead with 15 mins to go when Ethan netted from close range after a wonderful turn to beat the defender. Ethan almost added his 2nd but was denied by the crossbar. Despite some Brig pressure in the last 5 mins we saw the game out ⚽

A great team performance today from the lads. Up and down the pitch the boys were fantastic and showed us what they are capable of. With that in mind the man of the match today is "The Team". Well done lads, excellent display. ⚽
