With the home Jeanfield pitch in its standard unplayable condition both teams headed off to Kinross.
With the wind behind them Swifts went straight on the attack and got an early goal. MacLean started the move and McGinley stole in behind the defence onto a Mearns flick and stretched to beat the advancing keeper to get her third in as many games.
The goal gave Swifts a boost and they stayed on top. Playing some good football they created chances but were hurrying the final pass and shot. First Mearns and then McGinley fired past from good positions after good movement. MacDonald then fired past after another good move. On the half hour mark however McIntyre showed how it was done when she took a pass on the edge of the box and despatched a great clean strike across the keeper to double the lead.
Swifts continued to make and miss chances and were punished before half-time when the Pars stormed back with an excellent run and cross down the right finished off in style first time.
Swifts ended the half with a slender lead and with the wind against them second half and the Pars buoyed by their goal, it was going to take a continued effort to keep the points.
Swifts started the second half strongly and retained the ball well. MacLean was showing purpose on the left and supporting McIntyre who was starting to influence the game and was thwarted by the keeper when she struck a shot from 25yards.
The Pars continued to push for the equaliser but Swifts were defending well with Foote and Oliphant dominant and restricting chances to a minimum. As the Pars pushed players forward, Swifts were creating openings but found the final pass elusive. They did however manage to see the game out and secure their third consecutive win which gives them great encouragement for their aim of first year survival.
