2025/26 End of Season Review

2025/26 End of Season Review

Chris Mathews3 Jul - 18:48

? WHAT A SEASON At THE AMATUERS! ?

The 2025/26 campaign is officially in the history books, and it is one we will not forget! We set out with big ambitions, and the squad absolutely delivered to bring home the Treble! ?⚽️

The Silverware
Our trophy cabinet is looking fuller than ever after a remarkable season:

  • PAFA Division 1 Champions: Back-to-back winners, secured with two games to spare!
  • League Cup Winners
  • Perthshire Cup Winners

This success means we have now secured nine trophies from a possible eleven over the last two seasons, a testament to the commitment, attitude, and togetherness of the entire squad.

The Staggering Stats
The numbers reflect a dominant season on the pitch:
Matches Played: 38

  • Wins: 32 (84.2% Win Rate)
  • Goals Scored: 162 (Averaging 4.26 a game!)
  • Goals Conceded: Just 33

End of Season Award Winners
A massive congratulations to all our award winners who have been instrumental to our success:

  • Top Goalscorer: Jack Jardine (41 Goals)
  • Playmaker of the Year: Ali Abboud (28 Assists)
  • Managers Player of the Year: Jack Jardine
  • Players Player of the Year: Rian Shillan
  • Young Player of the Year: Adin Philips
  • Clubman of the Year: Stewart McCarlie
  • Presidents Trophy: Allan Hay
  • Supporter of the Year: Eddie ‘Edu’ Mathews

We also want to wish a special Happy Retirement to Ali Abboud. Thank you for everything you have given to the club.

A Manager’s Reflection
Reflecting on the season, Manager Mark Allison noted that while there were frustrations in cup competitions—specifically the North of Tay semi-final and narrow losses in the Perth & District and Ashleigh Cup finals—the consistency shown by the group was outstanding.
"What pleased me most was the consistency of our performances," Mark shared. "We were solid defensively, strong in midfield, and ruthless in attack". Looking ahead, the message is clear: "My ambition never changes: I want us to win everything". The club is already preparing for pre-season, with plans to strengthen the squad to ensure we remain competitive on all fronts next year.

Thank You
Success like this is a collective effort. A massive thank you to Gaffer Mark, President Mathews, the entire committee, and our players for their relentless hard work.

We are incredibly grateful to our amazing sponsors for their continued support:

  • The Mallard
  • QTS
  • Park Forestry & Landscaping Scotland
  • McNicol Plumbing & Heating
  • SM Electrical Services
  • Ace Electric

Finally, thank you to every single supporter who followed us home and away. A special mention to the "Jeany young team" for bringing the noise and atmosphere to every match!

The new era is looking bright. We are almost ready to kick start the next season!
