We are pleased to announce the appointment of a new committee responsible for overseeing the continued growth and delivery of all organised football within the Community Club. This leadership team will manage all football sections and teams in the club’s pathway, including youth, girls, ladies, and men’s amateur teams.
We are incredibly thankful to the following individuals for stepping up to the key roles within the new committee:
• Chairperson: Chris Matthews
• Vice Chairperson: Kev Heller
• Secretary: Steve Mclean
• Treasurer: Dave Sanderson
• Financial Assistant: Jenna Paton
The newly formed committee (pictured left to right - Dave Sanderson, Steve Mclean, Jenna Paton, Chris Matthews, Kev Heller) will join the heads of the different sections and the clubs PPO to enhance the club’s football programs, aiming to ensure a high level of quality and participation across all levels. Their primary focus will be on maintaining a seamless pathway for players from youth development through to senior teams, providing opportunities for progression and excellence in the sport.
While this new committee will focus solely on the football operations, all other community activity, club and facility management, and project development will be managed by Jeanfield Swifts Community Football Club, a registered charity (SCIO SC050390). This separation allows the club to maintain a clear distinction between football operations and broader community initiatives.
Additionally, the men’s first team continues to operate with its own dedicated committee, which has also been recently refreshed. The Under 20’s side remains affiliated with the first team, ensuring a strong link between development players and senior football.
This new structure reflects the strong connections across the club and the collective commitment to support the club’s growth. We will maintain our strong presence in the local football community, allowing all sections to flourish under focused leadership.
