The manager gives us the lowdown ahead of the new season in the EOSFL Premier League.

" I think the new Premier Division is arguably the most competitive division anywhere in Scottish Senior Football."
- Ross Gunnion, Manager

Tomorrow the Swifts first team welcome Camelon in the first match of the new Central Taxis East of Scotland Premier League.

In the club's first season in Senior Football last season the first team finished third in the Conference C securing their place in the Premier division. Swifts Manager, Ross Gunnion gave us a sneak peak at what we can expect from Jeanfield this season.

"We had a great campaign last season and the team showed real consistency at a high level which kept us competing at the top end of the table. Our aim this season will be no different, which is a great challenge because I think the new Premier Division is arguably the most competitive division anywhere in Scottish Senior Football. There's some brilliant fixtures to look forward to"

"The squad have worked really hard this pre-season and we've had some really good opponents, so the team are ready and we hope to get off to a good start against a competitive Camelon side tomorrow. We did good business over the Summer and we've reduced the average age of the squad to under 25, there's some great young talent and real competition for places now."

"The aim for the season is obviously to win some silverware and to compete again at the top end of the table. I know that on our day we can be a match for anyone in this division."

The campaign gets underway on Saturday 27th vs Camelon at the Riverside with a 2.30pm KO. To support the Swifts in what is guaranteed to be an exciting season in the EOSFL Premier League, join the club here and then purchase your season ticket here
