Jeanfield Swifts AFC V Vale of Atholl Match Report

Jeanfield went into this game high in confidence after putting 4 past Dunkeld and were keen to add to their goal tally.

It took only 14 minutes of dominance for the first goal to go in. T.Young who has been brilliant recently in the midfield was able to smash it home on the back of McCleary’s 2 attempts from about 9 yards out GOAL 1-0 Jeanfield

On the 21st minute McCabe got in on the action. McCleary made a darting run down the line and his cross found McCabe who’s shot found its way through a wall of players into the bottom corner GOAL 2-0 Jeanfield

It was 4minutes later when Sime and C.Henderson replicated the previous goal. Sime crossed from the right along the ground and Henderson finally found his shooting boots hit it first time inside the box and the keeper had no chance GOAL 3-0 Jeanfield

On the 36th minute McCleary got his first through some great football between Grieve and Coull got C.Henderson a great shooting opportunity however the keeper made a good stop. Unfortunately for him it dropped to the feet of on form McCleary who was never going to miss and slotted it into the top corner from a yard out GOAL 4-0 Jeanfield

The Swifts continued to press and had ample attempts but couldn’t add to their lead and the Vale had a penalty claim waved away which looked soft from our side but they were adamant it was.

It wasn’t until the 75th minute that the next goal went in. Hope played the ball into C.Henderson who flicked it first time with an exquisite touch to McCabe. McCabe looked up and slid in McCleary who smashed it home past the helpless keeper GOAL 5-0 Jeanfield

Next up was Coull who wanted to get onto the score sheet. It was a well work move that resulted in a free kick. Coull stepped up and smashed it into the top right hand corner GOAL 6-0 Jeanfield
