Match Report - Jeanfield Swifts AFC v Balmoral AFC

Jeanfield invited Balmoral to the Riverside for their 5th league match. After 2 wins and 2 loses the Swifts were keen to get more points on the board.

It only took A.Abboud 13 minutes to open the scoring when a long throw-in found him at the back post to head home. Jeanfield pushed to double their lead with no success until the 38th minute when a route one keeper kick was flicked on by J.Jardine putting A.Abboud through 1on1 with keeper. His lob was unreal as it clipped the underside of the bar on the way into the net.

The second half kicked off and the Swifts were asked to raise their game. B.Carle played a brilliant cross field pass that beat the defence on the 51st minute. A.Abboud was first to react and beat the keeper to make it a hat trick. There were a few more chances at both ends but the game ended with no more goals.
