Jeanfield faced Bridgeton AFC for the second time in a week, this time in Almondbank for the Perth & District Cup Semi-Final.
Just three minutes in, K. Mitchell broke into the box and was brought down by the goalkeeper. A. Abboud stepped up and confidently slotted home the resulting penalty to give Jeanfield an early lead.
Bridgeton responded in the ninth minute, playing a ball into the box which was miscontrolled by a Swifts defender. The Bridgeton striker pounced, squared it across the goal, and it was tapped in for the equaliser.
Jeanfield were dealt a blow midway through the first half, losing two players to injury in quick succession on 22 and 25 minutes—an unfortunate downside of their busy schedule.
Early in the second half, K. Brown threaded a pass through to the keeper, who tried to play out under pressure. A. Abboud closed him down, won the ball through sheer determination, and tucked it away with his left foot to restore Jeanfield’s lead.
Minutes later, Brown was involved again, whipping in a dangerous cross with his left foot. Abboud met it at the front post with a clever flick into the far corner to complete a perfect hat-trick—right foot, left foot, and header.
Jeanfield dominated the second half and created several chances to extend their lead, but the score remained unchanged.

Man of the match was Ali Abboud for his outstanding performance and clinical perfect hat-trick.
