Jeanfield Swifts Girls U11s welcomed namesakes Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts to Perth on Saturday in what turned out to be a fairly evenly matched contest between two sides who clearly wanted to make the most of a fine morning for football. Goals for Eilidh, Zoe and Abbie sealed the victory for the home team, while Lucy was once again strong in goal, never shirking responsibility to claim the ball for herself at the feet of oncoming attackers.

Other notable performances were given by Zoe, who chased down her opposite number tirelessly, and Leah, who rifled passes through the midfield, setting up opportunities for attack. Solid defence from Chloe, Iona and Bethany repelled the Inverkeithing attack and up front in the second half, Anna narrowly missed an opportunity to extend the home team's lead.

Congratulations to all who played, including the opposition who contributed much to an entertaining match and were a credit to their club.
